Oakhill Lodge

Oakhill Lodge at Pearcedale offers a combination of experienced and successful trainers, a rural environment and 'one on one' care of horses and owners.

It has been proven that horses do best in a rural environment and Oakhill Lodge offers just that: a well-laid out country stables, with relaxing yards and boxes, turnout paddocks and a two mile sand track for horses to work on. With Cranbourne training track only 10 minutes away, horses trained at Oakhill Lodge have easy access to the world-class facilites offered there.

Both Jean and Bruce Purcell are trainers who have experienced success at the highest level, and while both are totally professional, they have a deep love and understanding of horses that means nothing is left to chance in achieving success.

The stable is renowned for its patience in allowng young horses to developto potential. Every horse is handled each day by the trainers, not just the staff, and every horse is given the best possible chance of being a success.

Yearling Sales

Yes it’s that time of the year again.

Bruce and Jean Purcell will be attending most yearling sales.

Anyone who would be interested in buying a share of a yearling who shows a commitment prior to purchase will only be charged wholesale price plus 5%. After a yearling is purchased a retail price will be set.
